Terms of Service

1. Contractual Relationship

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern all vehicle surface preparation, paint correction, ceramic coatings, and studio treatments executed by DETAILED FINISH LIMITED (trading as Detailed Finish, NZBN: 9429050604975, Company Number: 8380012, Registered Office: 59b Wilks Road West, RD 4, Dairy Flat, 0794, New Zealand).

2. Pre-Service Assessment & Scope of Work

Prior to performing machine polishing or chemical coating applications:

• Electronic Paint Inspection: Our technicians conduct a comprehensive paint depth and defect analysis under 5000K CRI lighting to establish factory clear coat tolerances.
• Written Work Orders: Work commences strictly upon mutual sign-off of the estimated treatment scope, agreed time schedule, and pricing structure.
• Pre-Existing Damage: Existing stone chips, body panel dents, failing clear coats, or non-disclosed prior repaints will be documented on the digital intake sheet.

3. Payment & Invoicing Policies

Invoices are billed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and clearly reflect the 15% Goods and Services Tax (GST). Accepted payment methods include EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard, and direct New Zealand electronic bank transfers. Payment in full is due upon vehicle completion and customer inspection.

4. Statutory Guarantees (CGA 1993)

All services rendered by DETAILED FINISH LIMITED are supported by statutory guarantees under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and the Fair Trading Act 1986. We provide a 48-hour complimentary rework window for any missed area or touch-up identified upon handover.

5. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, DETAILED FINISH LIMITED is not liable for latent vehicle paint defects, factory paint delamination, or damages arising from non-standard aftermarket repaints performed prior to our intake inspection. Total aggregate liability is strictly limited to re-performing the detailing service or refunding the service cost.
